Reuben
Ingredients:
2 slices of rye bread
4 oz corned beef, sliced
2 oz Swiss cheese, sliced
¼ cup sauerkraut, drained
1 teaspoon Russian or thousand island dressing
1 teaspoon butter
Steps:
Heat a skillet over medium heat
Butter one side of each slice of bread
Spread Russian or thousand island dressing on the unbuttered side of bread
Layer the corned beef evenly on one slice
Add the sauerkraut on top of the corned beef
Place the cheese over the sauerkraut
Top with the second slice of bread , dressing side down
Grill the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown (3-4 minutes)
Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side until cheese melts
Remove from the skillet
Slice in half
Serve hot
