Cheese Steak
Ingredients:
2 beef ribeye steaks (or top round)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 hoagie rolls
1 medium yellow onion
4 slices provolone cheese
Steps:
Slice steaks as thin as possible
Season steak with salt and pepper
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat
Add in sliced onion
Sauté until soft (5-7 minutes)
Remove and set aside
Add slices of steak into the pan in one layer to sear (1-2 minutes)
Flip and sear the other side
Use a spatula to chop up the steak
Add in cooked unions
Reduce heat to low and top chopped steak with cheese
Let melt
Transfer to hoagie roll
