Tuxedo Brownie

Ingredients: 

For chocolate brownie layer- 

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted 

  • 2 eggs 

  • ¾ cups sugar 

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla 

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour  

  • Pinch of salt 

For white chocolate brownie layer- 

  • ½ cup white chocolate chips 

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted melted butter 

  • 2 eggs 

  • ¾ cup sugar 

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla  

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour 

  • Pinch of salt 

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f 

  2. Line an 8x8 square pan with parchment paper 

    For chocolate brownie layer 

  3. In a saucepan melt the butter and chocolate chips over a medium low heat 

  4. Remove from heat and add the sugar and flour  

  5. Mix with a whisk until combined  

  6. Add the eggs, vanilla, and pinch of salt  

  7. Mix until combined 

  8. Pour this batter on the prepared pan 

    For white chocolate brownie layer- 

  9. In a saucepan melt the butter and white chocolate chips over medium low heat  

  10. Remove from heat and add the sugar and flour 

  11. Mix with a whisk until combined 

  12. Add the eggs, vanilla and a pinch of salt 

  13. Whisk until combined 

  14. Pour this batter over the chocolate layer and spread evenly 

  15. Bake for 30-40 minutes 

  16. Remove from the oven and cool over a rack 

  17. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours for easier slicing 

  18. Run a knife through the sides of the brownie pan 

  19. Lift the parchment paper to release the brownies 

  20. Cut into squares
